Soludo’s fate in God’s hands – PDP – As Appeal Court rules on Soludo, Ohakim today – Tribune
December 16, 2009 by Bunmi Awolusi
As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) awaits the decision of the Appeal Court on whether or not Professor Chukwuma Soludo validly emerged as its candidate for next February’s governorship election in Anambra State, the party is apparently hoping for divine intervention, as it maintains that it has done its best as a political party to ensure the participation of Professor Soludo in the election.
The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, will today deliver judgments in two separate appeals on the governorship seat in Imo State and election in Anambra State. Both Professor Soludo and Governor Ikedi Ohakim of Imo State will be at the centre of the judgments but they still have the right of appeal to the Supreme Court since the issues before the court are pre-election matters.
The court will determine whether the Peoples Democratic Party followed due process in selecting Soludo as its candidate for the February 6, 2010 governorship election in Anambra State.
