The largest free software distribution in Nigeria begins tomorrow – courtesy of The Nation which will circulate thousands of copies of one of the world’s most powerful anti-virus softwares.
The software is one of the main tools packaged with a special disc-based video archive publication on the exploits of the Golden Eaglets over the last 24 years to be released tomorrow.
The disc is a special one-hour video of selected highlights of Nigeria’s three most glorious outings at the FIFA Under-17 championship in 1985, 1993 and 2007. But it will also deliver Cure It, an anti-virus software that identifies and removes more than 96 per cent of today’s computer viruses from infected computers to a prospective audience of more than 10 million Nigerian PC Users.
At least one million Nigerians are expected to directly receive and use the Cure It antivirus software from the discs being published by The Nation Databank over the next three months, beginning from tomorrow. Millions of others are expected to borrow and use the discs to remove viruses from their computers and repair virus-damaged computer files. Cure It is one of a suite of advanced computer security softwares registered as Doctor Web, published by one of Russia’s leading software security firms.
