UNIZIK, PDP members honour Andy Uba – The Nation

Saturday, November 21 , 2009 will ever remain indelible in the minds of Dr. Andy Uba, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and indeed, Anambra State .
That was the day, members of the troubled party came out at Amansea border of Enugu and Anambra States to welcome home one of their own.
Also, that was the day Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, awarded him with Doctor of Public Administration (DPA), during its 8th convocation ceremony along with other distinguished Nigerians, including the Senate President, David Mark, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio and Prince Arthur Eze.
But the highpoint of the occasion was the manner members of the PDP troop out to usher in their former Governor in 2007, Dr. Andy Uba, despite his losing his Appeal court case in Enugu about two weeks ago.
With the crowd that waited for him at Anambra, and the calibre of people that welcomed him and followed him to UNIZIK to receive the doctorate award, a lot of people for now in the state, should have a rethink on Andy Uba.
