Yar’Adua, Jonathan lose 300% severance pay – The Nation

President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Vice President, Goodluck Jonathan are to forfeit the 300% severance gratuity allowance in their yearly take–home package, it was learnt yesterday.
Reason: they enjoy life pension after leaving office.
Their hardship allowance is also going down from 50% to 30%.
Also not spared by the cut in salaries and allowances package for political, public and judicial office holders aimed at reflecting the present financial mood of the country are President of the Senate David Mark and House Speaker Dimeji Bankole.
Their fleets of cars are to be reduced.
