Yar’Adua okays N47.1b for projects – The Nation

President Umaru Yar’Adua has approved N47.1 billion for the execution of projects under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) otherwise called “quickwins”.
Senators and members of the House of Representatives will benefit from the funds part of which will be used to execute their constituency projects.
Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on MDGs Hajia Amina Az-Zubairu, who made these known in Abuja, accused some banks of frustrating the execution of this year’s MDGs projects.
She blamed the banks for the delay in the payment of contractors.
