Ibori: UK releases list of witnesses – The Nation

The London Police yesterday released names of 14 witnesses in the money laundering case against three associates of former Delta State Governor James Ibori.
The witnesses are from the Nigerian Police, Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The Police said the autopsy result of the late Assistant Director of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Abubakar Umar Abba, who was assassinated would aid further investigation into the case.
The remains of Abba’s body were found inside his car last Thursday along Dan Suleiman Street in Utako, Abuja.

An aide to the chief executive of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) was shot dead and set ablaze by unknown gunmen in Utako, Abuja, on Wednesday night.
Abubakar Umar, a lawyer and special assistant to CAC’s newly-appointed Registrar-General Bello Mahmud, appeared to have been trailed after he left work on Wednesday night, abducted and shot in the head along Dan Suleiman Street in Utako. His dead, burnt body was found inside his burnt car around the Utako Market area yesterday morning.
