Inspector General (IG) of Police, Ogbonna Onovo, on Thursday launched a vehicle track device, Vehicle Recovery Portal (VRP), as part of renewed police efforts to fight car theft in the country.
The VPR is an internet based web system through which the act of car snatching would be nipped in the bud at short notice.

The United States may soon begin rejection of Visa applications by some categories of Nigerians.
Although a statement by the US State Department did not mention the categories that would be affected, it added that visas already issued to some people might be revoked.

Scores of commuters in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, were on Tuesday stranded as commercial taxi drivers protested the new tax regime introduced by the state government.
The protest, which started around 11.00 a.m., forced students, teachers and other workers to stay off work as commercial activities in the city came to a halt.
