A 13-strong shortlist has been selected for the 2009 edition of Indomie Independence Day Award for Heroes of Nigeria, which seeks to identify, recognize and celebrate acts of heroism in the Nigerian child.

Over 1000 entries have been received across the country for the 2nd edition of the Indomie Independence Day Award for Heroes of Nigeria. The award which seeks to identify, recognize and celebrate acts of heroism in children is slated for Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Abuja on Thursday, October 8, 2009.
