The plenary session of the Edo State House of Assembly scheduled by the Pro-tempore Speaker, Mr. Peter Aliu, was on Tuesday aborted by armed policemen who sealed off the Assembly complex.
The decision was sequel to the struggle for supremacy between members of the Peoples Democratic Party and Action Congress after the impeachment of the Speaker of the House, Mr. Zakawanu Garuba.

A group, under the aegis of Vanguard for a Better Edo (VBE), has advised leaders of the People Democratic Party (PDP) who feel aggrieved with the outcome of the recent election re-run into Edo State House of Assembly for Akoko-Ado Constituency 1, to go to court and seek legal redress instead of making a wild allegation of rigging.
