The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has faulted the resolution by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) that President Umaru Yar’Adua, was capable of performing his duties.
The group in a statement signed by its national publicity secretary, Osita Okechukwu and made available to the Nigerian Tribune, in Abuja also described FEC’s position as “the height of exhibition of naked self- interest and orchestra of deception” and challenged it to publish forthwith the latest medical report upon which they based their declaration.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC), presided over by the Vice President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday approved N1.6billion for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Of the money, N684.93million is for insurance cover for staff and strategic property and assets of the anti-graft agency, while N925.72million is for design of its headquarters in Abuja.

The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) yesterday in Abuja accused the PDP-led federal government of obtaining $500m loans mostly to prosecute the forthcoming 2011 general elections.
The party said that the loan facility is a means of returning Nigeria back to the era of indebtedness and condemned National Assembly, also controlled by the PDP, for approving the loan facility.
