From the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Idris Kutigi, yesterday came a warning to judges: “avoid corruption like ‘a plague’ for you are under watch.”
Speaking at the opening of the 2009 All Nigeria Judges Conference in Abuja, Justice Kutigi said the National Judicial Council (NJC) would not hesitate to deal with any errant judicial officer.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi, yesterday threatened to recommend any judicial officer indicted for corruption to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for investigation and prosecution.
