A group campaigning for the rule of law, the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), advised the Federal Executive Council to pass a resolution should pass a resolution declaring ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua incapacitated, in compliance with Section 144 of the Constitution.

NAFDAC seals illegal sachet water firms – The Nation

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has sealed up two illegal pure water factories in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The spokesperson for the Northwest zone of the Agency in Kaduna, Jessica Okwuchi, in a statement yesterday said the closure was made during the Agency’s routine surveillance operation in the state. She gave the names of the sealed factories as Meyere Ventures and Safyanu-Doka Company, all in Birnin Gwari.

It was a rough deal for officials of the Kaduna State Government, who were on the entourage of Governor Namadi Sambo in Sabo Gari Local Council yesterday.

Hundreds of irate youths allegedly angry over developments in the council laid an ambush against the governor and his team.
