Three Britons and a Colombian were abducted yesterday in Obehi, Abia State. Their driver and a police corporal attached to the expatriates were shot dead in the incident.
The four expatriate contractors work for Netco Dietsmann, a joint venture between Nigeria State-owned National Engineering and Technical Company and Dutch maintenance company, Dietsmann.

AN attempt to kidnap a five-year- old girl, Elo-Oghene Egukawhore, in Bendel Estate, off Airport Road, Effurun, Delta State, was, on Monday, foiled by the parents and the police in Ovwian division.
Nigerian Tribune learnt that the girl was on her way to school around 7.30 a.m when gunmen blocked the Honda CRV jeep, with registration number AG 165 LEH, conveying her and her niece, Cecilia Ogaga.

There was still no trace yesterday of Pa Simeon Soludo, one week after his kidnap.
But the police seem to have got more desperate in their bid to seize the kidnappers of the father of former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Chukwuma Soludo. They have embarked on a house-to-house search for the abductors and their victim, police chief Ogbonna Onovo told reporters yesterday.
