The new millionaires are those that emerged from the Week One Draw of the leading mobile telecommunications company Promo. The prize presentations were held in various locations in Nigeria.

Leading industry magazine Global Telecoms Business (GTB) has ranked Dr Saad Al Barrak in 20th position in its Top 100 most influential telecom executives for 2009, up nine places on his 2008 ranking. Two other senior Zain executives, Zain Africa CEO Chris Gabriel and the company’s Chief Business Development Officer, Salah Al Fouzan, were ranked 46th and 95th respectively. The rankings published by the London based magazine are yet another indicator of Zain’s growing influence in the international telecom sector and further evidence that the company’s bid to be a global top ten mobile operator by 2011 is gathering momentum.
