AP Plc pays Access Bank N2.945b – The Nation

African Petroleum (AP) Plc yesterday paid Access Bank Plc. N2.945 billion – in an apparent move to end the row over the oil marketer’s $35 million indebtedness to the Bank.

Confirming the payment, Access Bank said the dispute between it and AP Plc over the outstanding $35 million (about N5.6 billion) loan facility had ended amicably.

Robbers kill two policemen – The Guardian

A 12-man robbery gang operating on motorcycles yesterday, killed two mobile policemen, a driver and injured a new generation bank’s worker in Onitsha.

The robbers also killed a commercial cycist before carting away an undisclosed sum of money in the banker’s Toyota Corolla car along Awka road in Onitsha around 10am.
