United Kingdom Prime Minister, Mr. Gordon Brown, has advised Acting President Goodluck Jonathan, to remain steadfast in tackling corruption, electoral reforms and other democratic ideals.
Brown also said that he would support Jonathan to bring peace and stability to the Niger Delta.

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Abdullah Aminchi said, yesterday, that it was doctors attending to ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua who had denied Nigerians access to their President in his Jeddah hospital and not Saudi authorities. He said he visited the President last Saturday and that “he is really feeling better now.”

The six-man Federal Government fact-finding team to Saudi Arabia failed to leave as planned last night.
“There was no landing permit for the aircraft,” a source close to the delegation said.
A presidential plane is to fly the team, which is expected to turn in its findings on President Umaru Yar’Adua’s health before Wednesday’s weekly Executive Council meeting. The outcome of the findings is expected to influence the course of discussion of the day.

The report of a five-member team of the House of Representatives who went on a goodwill visit to ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua in Saudi Arabia will be submitted tomorrow, it was learnt yesterday.
The team who returned on Saturday without seeing President Yar’Adua were said to have been denied access to him.
