All is now set for the resettlement of over 9,000 refugees from some war-torn African countries in Taraba State.
The refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, Chad and others will be settled in Zing Local Council of the state.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) yesterday released its yearly Human Development Index (HDI), with Nigeria ranked 158.
Gabon, Congo, Kenya and Sudan are ahead of Nigeria.
Norway took the first position.
Gunmen Kidnap Nigerian UN Staff in Darfur – Thisday

Two international civilian staff – a Nigerian male and a woman – of the joint United Nations/African Union (UNAMID) peace-keeping force were kidnapped by some gunmen from their residence in Zalingei, West Darfur, Sudan about 400 kilometres from El Fasher, early Saturday.
