According to Aso Rock sources, he will embark on sweeping changes in the area of security lapses noticed in recent times, Federal Executive Council and electoral reforms hinged largely on the Justice Uwais electoral reforms panel’s report, the power situation and the post amnesty issues.

The Abia State Governor, Chief T. A.Orji has condemned the February14, murder of Mr Efenji Efenji, former Political Correspondent of the African Independent Television, AIT.
The Governor who spoke through the Commissioner for Information, culture and tourism, Mr John Nwokocha, described the killing as wicked and satanic and expressed concern over the growing list of unsolved killings in the country.

The Central Bank Governor, Mr. Lamido Sanusi, has said that the apex bank expects the N620 billion it injected into the eight troubled banks to be repaid by May.
According to Sanusi, who spoke in Pretoria, South Africa, Monday: “We expect that by April, May, the exposure with the banks should have been paid back by the banks.”

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Abdullah Aminchi said, yesterday, that it was doctors attending to ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua who had denied Nigerians access to their President in his Jeddah hospital and not Saudi authorities. He said he visited the President last Saturday and that “he is really feeling better now.”

Acting President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has approved the appointment of seven additional members into the Presidential Advisory Committee on the Jos Crisis to cover other stakeholders in the state.
In apparent response to outcry from some groups over their non-representation on the committee, representatives of Berom, Anaguta, Yoruba, Igbo and the Niger Delta, among others, have now been appointed to serve on the committee.
