56th National Council on Health Conference to Hold in Lagos

The 56th National Council on Health meeting is slated to hold in Lagos between Monday 26th and Friday 30th August, 2013.

Those expected to be in attendance are Lagos State governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, the Minister for Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris and about 1000 delegates from the thirty-seven states of the federation.

The theme for the meeting is ‘Health Sector: Now and Beyond 2015’ with sub themes as; ‘Public Health Emergencies’ and ‘Mutual Accountability Results’. The purpose is to reflect and reassess draft health policies, discuss ideas and experiences on the best health practices among states in the country.
