The Spanish international was the subject of a transfer speculation last summer, with Manchester United keen on landing the player having made several bids for him, which Barcelona subsequently turned down.
But with Fabregas falling out with some sections of the Barcelona fans and being booed by some home supporters during their 2-1 home victory over Athletic Bilbao, talks about a move has been mooted.
The former Arsenal player will enter the final two years of his contract at Barcelona in July,it might be an appropriate time for Barcelona to cash in on him.
Arsenal have the first option of re-signing him and could consider the prospect of bringing him back at club he left in 2011.
However,it will not be a straightforward move for Fabregas to leave Barcelona should he decide to go,considering what it cost Barca to bring him back from Arsenal.
