The Ogun State Police Command has reportedly arrested two men accused of kidnapping two kids, Tolulope (9), and Omodolapo Kosoko (7) while they were withdrawing the ransom money from the bank.

The police said the prime suspect, Kingson Sunday (27), was a friend to the kidnapped children’s family and helped in taking them to and bringing them back from their school, Imperial International School in Molipa, Ijebu Ode.

After kidnapping them, he reportedly took the children to Ebonyi State where their names were changed to Bishop (Tolulope) and Turey (Omodolapo).

The Ogun police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, said Mr. Sunday, a teacher, had demanded N500,000 as ransom. Mr. Sunday, however, sent the account details of the second suspect, August Johnson (47), a teacher residing at Ohaozara in Ebonyi, to the victims’ parents.

The police credited the account with N150,000 and pencilled down the account in the bank.

It was gathered that the suspects were nabbed when they attempted to withdraw the money from the account. The police were alerted by informants monitoring the account in Ebonyi State.
