Globacom Establishes Dominance over Airtel in Telecoms Market

The battle for the number two slot in the telecoms market is finally ended, and Globacom appears to have taken the crown, coming out better than Airtel Nigeria, as the telecommunications industry records a milestone of 120 million active connections. These results are from the mid-year figures for 2013, as reported by the regulators.

According to market info from NCC, Globacom has 25,019,862 active connections, as compared to Airtel’s 21, 591, 904, showing that Globacom is well over its competitor by 3.4 million subscribers.
