The Ondo State Police Command will today parade the domestic help of a former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Prof. Albert Ilemobade, who was reported to have been kidnapped last week but was found dead.
He was allegedly killed by his gateman and driver who later dumped his body in the garage in his house at the Ijapo area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the Commissioner of Police in Ondo state, Mr Isaac Eke said the two suspects were arrested by men of the Ogun state police command while trying to sell the Toyota RAV4 Jeep stolen from the late Ilemobade's residence.
Speaking about the incident, the vicar of the deceased’s church, Ven. Ayodeji Fagbemi, said some policemen from the Ondo State Police Command called him after the church service on Sunday to come to the house of Ilemobade at Ijapo.
According to the Vicar, the domestic staff upon interrogation, confessed to have hidden the corpse of the former FUTA VC in the store soaked with diesel to cover the odour of the decomposed body.
All attempts to speak with any of his family members was not successful as two of his children and his wife could not muster a word while sympathisers were seen crying profusely.
