Metro Kano State Governor Sacks 5 fraudulent Civil Servants

Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state has ordered the sack of five top civil servants for their involvement in an alleged corrupt practices and fraud.

However, the names of the officials sacked were not disclosed by Mohammed Nadu Yahaya, Kano state commissioner for land and physical planning during a meeting with reporters in his office. Nevertheless, he revealed that two Directors and three Surveyors from the state Urban Renewal Agency and the ministry of physical planning, respectively were involved.

He added that they were found guilty of inflating the compensation to land owners from 5million to over 5o million naira. Thus, the case has been assigned to the civil service commission for further investigation.
