The Women Wing of the Christian Association
of Nigeria (WOWICAN) under its chairperson, Onyinsola Onyin has criticised the controversial bill.
The chairperson in a statement made during the association's quarterly meeting said a letter would be written to the National Assembly.
According to her, if female lawmakers got married at 13, they won't be where they are today. If however the bill is passed, she warned that mothers would go on a naked protest.
She expressed her worry about the increasing rate of child rape and she has encouraged victims to speak out.
