Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) have gone a step further in revamping their league,after securing a mouthwatering deal for it’s TV rights.
The League Management Company on Monday agreed a four-year broadcast sponsorship deal worth N5.1 billion ($34 million) with satellite station,Supersports.
Speaking at the announcement of the deal,chairman of the LMC,Nduka Irabor,said that it was the right step in developing the Nigerian league adding that it would enhance growth.
“The broadcast sponsorship represents another major boost for the actualization of LMC’s mandate to exploit the commercial assets of the NPFL to the maximum benefit of the Clubs and other stakeholders,” Irabor said.
The deal,is expected to span through the four seasons from 2015-2019.
