Nigeria - Ten federal universities in the country are to share the sum of 1.5billion Naira in the on going post UTME exercise across tertiary institutions nationwide.

However the actual earning will be less as not all candidates will get past the 180 cut-off mark set by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB.

University of Ilorin - N343m (85, 945 applicants at N4,000)

Delta State University - N236 million (78,854 applicants at N3,000 each)

University of Benin - N213m (60, 020 applicants, at N3,550)

University of Lagos - N196m (49,059 applicants at N4,000 per form)

University of Ibadan - N173m (38,520 applicants at N4,500 per form)

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife - N120m (34,409 applicants at N3,500 per form)

University of Calabar - N116m (17,975 applicants at 6,500 per form )

University of Nigeria, Nsukka - N115m (57,539 prospective students, at N2,000)

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, - N105m (52,785 applicants at N2,000 each)

University of Port-Harcourt - N56m (28,254 applicants at N2,000 per form)


However, despite the large number of applicants, the highest number that can be admitted in varsities is five to six thousand.
