On Friday, a suicide Bomber attacked one of the entries leading into the US Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. The attack left  both a security guard and the attacker dead, a female Journalist was reported to have sustained injuries during the blast and is in a critical condition.

The Turkish government describes the attack as a ploy to disrupt peace in Turkey, they also gave the name of the attacker to be Ecevit Sanli, a member of an outlawed group known as the DHKP.

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said “All these attacks are against prosperity and peace in our country. As we have said since the beginning, we have to fight against terrorism together all over the world.”

The United States is presently investigating the cause of the attack with the help of the Turkish government.
