Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem criticizes Seyi Tinubu in a new song after Seyi praised President Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s greatest leader. Abdulkareem highlights economic struggles, insecurity, and government failures, urging Seyi to face ordinary Nigerians' hardships without privilege. His track renews music’s role in political activism.

Veteran Nigerian artist Eedris Abdulkareem has reignited political discourse with a new song targeting Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The track emerged shortly after Seyi Tinubu’s comments at a youth gathering in Adamawa State, where he lauded his father as "the greatest president in Nigeria’s history."

In a viral video dated March 17, 2025, Seyi defended his father's administration, crediting President Tinubu with championing youth empowerment and fostering a more inclusive economy. He emphasized the president’s commitment to national development, despite growing criticism across the country.

Abdulkareem, known for using music as a vehicle for political commentary, responded forcefully through his latest release. In the song, he urges Seyi to acknowledge the widespread economic hardship and insecurity plaguing Nigerians. With pointed lyrics, Abdulkareem tells Seyi to inform his father about the real struggles citizens face daily.

Highlighting issues such as kidnappings, deteriorating infrastructure, and broken promises, Abdulkareem paints a stark contrast to Seyi’s glowing endorsement of his father’s leadership. He challenges Seyi to experience life without the protections of privilege, suggesting he travel by road without security to truly understand the nation's suffering.

Abdulkareem’s track taps into a longstanding tradition in Nigeria where musicians use their platforms to voice societal frustrations. His latest work underlines the deepening divide between government narratives and the reality many Nigerians endure.
