Gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi confesses to murdering his alleged girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, after discovering her infidelity. He expresses no regret, claiming his actions were a response to the betrayal. The victim's family demands justice as police continue their investigation into the gruesome crime.

Timileyin Ajayi, a 32-year-old man, is currently in police custody in Nasarawa State for the murder of 24-year-old Salome Eleojo Adaidu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The tragic incident occurred when Salome visited Ajayi at his residence in the Papalana axis of New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area.

Ajayi was apprehended on January 12, 2025, after attempting to dispose of Salome’s dismembered body. He was paraded by the police, who displayed the knife and machetes used in the crime. During an interview, Ajayi confessed to killing Salome, claiming that the act was unplanned and triggered by discovering her chats with other men. He stated that their relationship lacked constant communication, and he felt betrayed by her infidelity.

Despite his admission, Ajayi expressed no regret for the murder, justifying his actions by claiming that life is reciprocal. He believed his actions were a response to how he perceived Salome’s behavior. His family, however, denied knowledge of his relationship with Salome and demanded justice.

The family of the victim was devastated, particularly Salome’s uncle, who described the horrific nature of the crime, revealing that Salome’s body had been cut into more than 50 pieces. The Nasarawa State Police assured the public that Ajayi would face prosecution, and investigations are ongoing.
