A tragic road accident in Jigawa State claimed the lives of ten people when a Toyota Hummer bus collided with a parked trailer along the Kano-Hadejia Road in Yanfari village, Taura Local Government Area. The incident occurred on November 10 at approximately 9:30 p.m., as confirmed by the Jigawa State Police Command. The bus, carrying eleven passengers and driven by 35-year-old Sani Mainasara, was traveling from Kano to Hadejia when it struck a stationary trailer with registration number RGN 180 ZC. The force of the impact caused the bus to somersault, instantly killing the driver and nine passengers.
Police officers from the Taura Division responded swiftly, evacuating the deceased to Hadejia General Hospital, where doctors confirmed their deaths. One passenger survived and is currently receiving medical attention at Majia Primary Health Care Centre, with reports indicating that the survivor is in stable condition.
