The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced 2025 Hajj fares, with costs exceeding ₦8 million due to forex challenges and airfare variations. Pilgrims from different zones will pay varying amounts, with southern states incurring the highest. NAHCON advises early registration and adherence to Saudi guidelines to streamline the process.

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has set the 2025 Hajj fare at over ₦8 million, citing factors like exchange rate challenges and air travel costs. Pilgrims from Borno and Adamawa will pay ₦8,327,125.59, while those from other northern states are charged ₦8,457,685.59. Southern state pilgrims face the highest fare at ₦8,784,085.59.

NAHCON attributed the variation in fares to the proximity of zones, which influences airfare costs. The commission said the fares were approved by the Office of the Vice President and involved consultations with state executives and other stakeholders. Efforts were made to keep fares within the range of previous years despite the forex crisis.

NAHCON Chairman, Professor Saleh, commended the collaborative effort, emphasizing the need for early payment and adherence to Saudi guidelines. The commission urged prospective pilgrims to register promptly to avoid last-minute complications.
