  • He has military and public infrastructure experience - Early in his career, Bello worked at the Directorate of Quartering and Engineering Services of the Nigerian Army and later at the Niger State Housing Corporation as a senior civil engineer, giving him a strong background in infrastructure development.
  • He chairs Invest-in-Northern Nigeria Limited - Bello currently chairs Invest-in-Northern Nigeria Limited, a vehicle focused on economic development across the northern region. The role reflects his ongoing commitment to regional economic growth and investment.
  • His appointment has been approved by the CBN - Bello's appointment as chairman followed approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). His track record in governance, policy, and strategic oversight is expected to ensure stability and continuity as Zenith Bank navigates evolving regulatory and market conditions.
