A Chief District Court in Abuja has issued a restraining order against on-air personality Kayode Oladotun, known as Do2dtun, preventing him from posting defamatory content against singer Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, on social media or any other platform. D’banj filed an application seeking the injunction to prevent Do2dtun from making malicious and defamatory posts about him on social media. The court granted this application, stating that Do2dtun is prohibited from making further malicious or defamatory posts about D'banj on any social media platform or news media until the substantive case is heard and determined.
The court also ordered the Deputy Inspector of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau, to investigate a criminal complaint filed by D'banj against Do2dtun within two weeks and report back to the court. Do2dtun had been actively engaged in a social media campaign against D’banj for several weeks. Notably, he had previously been married to D’banj’s sister, Taiwo, with whom he has two children. This legal action comes in the wake of a divorce proceeding initiated by Taiwo, alleging emotional abuse, forced abortion, and domestic violence by Do2dtun
