A police inspector, Lawal Ibrahim, was found dead in an Abuja hotel after a suspected intimate encounter. The incident involved a woman invited from Jigawa State. Authorities recovered items linked to the encounter, and investigations are underway. The case has raised concerns about safety and unverified substance use.

A police inspector, Lawal Ibrahim, was found dead under unusual circumstances at a hotel in Gwagwalada, Abuja. The officer, attached to the Kwali Division, had reportedly checked into Palasa Guest Inn on Wednesday night with a woman identified as Maryam Abba, who traveled from Dutse, Jigawa State, to meet him.

Eyewitnesses claim the pair spent the night together and engaged in sexual activity. Early Thursday morning, during another intimate moment, Ibrahim reportedly began experiencing difficulty breathing and became unresponsive. Maryam, alarmed by his condition, attempted to revive him by sprinkling water but was unsuccessful.

In her panic, she informed the hotel manager, Danlami Palasa, who contacted the police. Officers arrived promptly and discovered Ibrahim’s lifeless body in the room. His remains were taken to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, where medical personnel confirmed his death.

Items recovered from the hotel room included a watermelon, a suspected aphrodisiac, his police identity card, and a phone charger.

Maryam was taken into custody to assist with the investigation. A police officer from the Gwagwalada Division, who spoke anonymously, confirmed the incident but refrained from providing further details. Efforts to reach SP Adeh Josephine, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, for a statement were unsuccessful.
