The mortal remains of Herbert Wigwe, the late Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, along with his wife and son, have been repatriated to Nigeria from the United States. The arrival occurred at the Port Harcourt International Airport on Friday.
The funeral is slated to take place on Saturday in Isiokpo, his hometown, situated in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State. Wigwe, his wife, his son, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash at the border of Nevada and California in the US last month.
This devastating incident has prompted a heartfelt outpouring of tributes and condolences for Wigwe, with many fondly remembering and acknowledging his impactful contributions throughout his lifetime.
