Dalyce Curry, an actress best known for her roles in Blues Brothers, Lady Sings the Blues, and The Ten Commandments, has tragically passed away at the age of 95. Her body was found after her home in Altadena was destroyed in a wildfire. The fire, which ravaged areas east of Los Angeles, was part of the Eaton Fire, a devastating event that prompted evacuations in both Altadena and Pasadena.

Curry’s granddaughter shared the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post, revealing that she last saw her grandmother on January 7 before dropping her off at her Altadena home. Later that day, the wildfire broke out, and when the granddaughter returned to check on her the next day, she found the area blocked off due to police barricades. She was directed to a nearby shelter, where displaced residents were being housed.

Authorities launched a search for Curry, but on January 12, it was confirmed that she had perished in the fire. Her death is part of the broader tragedy caused by the Los Angeles wildfires, which have claimed at least 24 lives so far.
