The African Democratic Congress has gained ten members in the House of Representatives following a fresh wave of defections ahead of the 2027 elections. Among those who joined the ADC is George Ozodinobi, the Deputy Minority Whip, who defected from the Labour Party. Several lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress also crossed to the ADC, while others moved to different parties, including the Accord, Action Peoples Party, and the APC. Speaker Tajudeen Abbas read the defection notices during plenary on Tuesday.
