In a revelation during the interdenominational thanksgiving services for the incoming Soun of Ogbomoso, Pastor Enoch Adeboye clarified his decision not to oppose Pastor Afolabi Olaoye's bid for the prestigious position.
At Beulah Baptist Conference in Ogbomoso, Adeboye emphasized Olaoye's divine destiny to become a king, citing a personal conversation where God affirmed Olaoye's path.
The former RCCG senior pastor, now set to become the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso, will receive his staff of office on December 19. Addressing critics, Adeboye stated that he couldn't thwart God's will and encouraged unity and peace in Ogbomoso.
Adeboye anointed the incoming king in a symbolic moment and prayed for his prosperous reign. Olaoye expressed gratitude, highlighting Adeboye as his spiritual role model. The ceremony concluded with clergymen offering prayers for the new royal leader and the prosperity of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, and Nigeria.
