The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has provided a crucial ambulance to Mainland Hospital in Lagos, a facility that had gone without one for over ten years. This donation significantly enhances the hospital's ability to respond to emergencies and manage infectious disease outbreaks.

For a decade, patient mobility was a major challenge, hindering timely referrals and evacuations. The donation, described as a "game changer" by the hospital's CEO, is expected to streamline emergency response efforts and boost the hospital's overall operational capacity.

Dr. Francis Aminu, ADF’s Director of Health and Nutrition, reiterated the foundation’s commitment to addressing health gaps in Nigeria, emphasising that their work goes beyond charity—it’s a duty to ensure essential health resources are available to every Nigerian. This donation highlights the foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure, with more initiatives expected in the future.
