Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed that Victor Boniface will remain at the club following the collapse of his proposed move to Al Nassr. The Nigerian striker was reportedly open to the transfer, which could have earned him N25 billion monthly, but the Saudi club ultimately decided not to proceed with the deal.

Speaking ahead of Leverkusen’s upcoming Bundesliga clash against Hoffenheim, Alonso acknowledged the situation but reassured fans that Boniface is comfortable in Germany and remains committed to the team. Despite speculation about a possible replacement, Alonso dismissed any plans to sign a new striker, emphasizing Boniface's importance to Leverkusen’s title ambitions.

The 24-year-old, who has been instrumental in the club’s success this season, is expected to be included in the squad for the Hoffenheim match. With the transfer saga behind him, Boniface now shifts his focus back to helping Leverkusen push for Bundesliga glory.
