Alhaji Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, Nigeria's Ambassador to Morocco, has tragically passed away at the age of 42. He also held the title of Magajin Garin Zazzau and was the biological younger brother of the Emir of Zazzau. The Ambassador lost his life at a private hospital in Lagos while en route to Morocco.
The Zazzau emirate council's Media and Publicity officer confirmed the sad news and stated that details regarding his funeral prayers would be announced later. Mansur Nuhu Bamalli leaves behind a wife and two children. His appointment as Ambassador came just a year ago and was a recognition of his decades of meritorious service to Nigeria in the Foreign Service. Before his diplomatic role, he held the position of deputy director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Despite the tragic loss, Nigeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is still grappling with logistical issues, including obtaining Authority to Incur Expenditures (AIEs), for the return of its diplomats posted in various foreign missions worldwide.
