The All Progressives Congress (APC) aims to regain control of Rivers State, with National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje expressing confidence during an event in Abuja. The party plans to rebuild its state chapter and welcomes the return of Dawari Ibietela George, a former Action Alliance governorship candidate.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is poised to reclaim Rivers State, according to National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, who made this assertion at a recent event in Abuja. Ganduje emphasized the need to rebuild and reposition the party’s state chapter to establish a robust political stronghold.
This declaration coincided with the official rejoining of Dawari Ibietela George, the 2023 governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), into the APC. Ganduje underscored the importance of fostering inclusivity within the party and expressed optimism that George's return would enhance the APC's influence in the state.
He assured that a solid structure would be put in place to accommodate all returning members, stating, “Rivers State will be completely APC. You are now equal members with every other member of the party.”
