All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Ododo, emerges victorious in 13 out of the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Kogi State, as revealed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the collation center in Lokoja.
The results unveiled a competitive race, with Alhaji Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) clinching victories in 7 LGAs. Hon. Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) secured one local government area, contributing to the diverse electoral landscape.
Usman Ododo, leading in the vote count, amassed 446,237 votes, while Ajaka secured 259,052 votes, and Abejide garnered 21,819 votes. However, Senator Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faced disappointment as he failed to secure any local government, ending with 46,362 votes.
