The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment, with plans to hire 3,927 officers across various categories, including Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant. The recruitment process is entirely free, and the NCS has cautioned applicants to be wary of potential scammers who may seek to exploit them.

Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including Nigerian citizenship, a valid National Identification Number (NIN), and a clean criminal record. The academic qualifications required differ based on the position. For the Superintendent cadre, candidates must hold a university degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) and possess an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Applicants for the Inspectorate cadre must have a National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE). In contrast, those applying for the Customs Assistant cadre need a minimum of an O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO).

In addition to academic qualifications, all applicants must provide evidence of physical and mental fitness, certified by a recognized government hospital. The recruitment process will open on December 27, 2024, and close on January 2, 2025. Interested individuals can submit their applications through the official NCS recruitment portal at https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng.
