The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Bashir Dalhatu, has voiced his concerns over the Federal government's decision to relocate certain departments within the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to Lagos.
In a recent interview on Arise TV news, Dalhatu argued that if the rationale behind moving FAAN is the concentration of airline activities in Lagos, a similar approach should be applied to other ministries.
He proposed relocating the Ministry of Commerce to commercial hubs like Onitsha or Kano, emphasizing the need for equitable distribution of ministries based on regional economic activities.
Dalhatu cautioned against establishing a precedent that could lead to further dismemberment of ministries and urged a commitment to the unity symbolized by the Federal Capital Territory.
