Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed Ethan Nwaneri will miss several weeks due to a muscular injury. The 17-year-old’s absence compounds Arsenal’s wing troubles, with Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling also sidelined. Arteta remains hopeful for Kai Havertz’s return against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Arsenal’s injury concerns have deepened with manager Mikel Arteta confirming that rising star Ethan Nwaneri will be sidelined for several weeks due to a muscular issue. The young midfielder, who scored in Arsenal’s recent 1-1 draw against Brighton, was substituted at halftime after suffering the injury.

The absence of the 17-year-old adds to Arsenal’s challenges on the right wing, where they are already without Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling. Speaking ahead of the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Newcastle, Arteta shared the news, saying, “It’s a muscular injury, and he will be out for a couple of weeks.”

Arteta also addressed the status of German forward Kai Havertz, who has been unavailable for Arsenal’s last two league matches due to illness. While hopeful for Havertz’s return, Arteta remained cautious, stating, “I hope so, but I don’t want to promise anything because the last time I thought he was ready, he wasn’t.”

Arsenal’s upcoming fixture against Newcastle presents a significant challenge for the injury-hit squad. With key players out, Arteta will look to other squad members to rise to the occasion as the Gunners aim to secure a strong first-leg result.
