Nigerian skitmaker and influencer, Ashmusy, denies dating politician Dino Melaye or engaging in "runs" for success. She reveals her self-made journey, recalling her tough childhood and numerous auditions. Ashmusy emphasizes hard work in building her career, which includes acting and over 1.9 million Instagram followers.
Amarachi Amusi, known as Ashmusy, has strongly denied rumors that she dated Nigerian politician Dino Melaye or participated in any “runs” to achieve success. In an emotional interview on the #WithChude show, the popular skitmaker and brand influencer shared how she built her career through hard work, not by relying on wealthy men. She emphasized that her journey was entirely self-made, highlighting her rise from humble beginnings.
Ashmusy recalled a difficult childhood in Enugu State, where her mother struggled with loan sharks to support the family, while her father was absent. During her time at university, Ashmusy even resorted to borrowing hair to fit in with her peers. Despite facing setbacks, including over 100 unsuccessful auditions, including attempts to join Big Brother Naija, she persevered and eventually became a successful entrepreneur with multiple businesses.
The controversy surrounding her started when an Instagram blogger posted a photo collage of Ashmusy, Melaye, and another celebrity, which hinted at an affair between her and the former lawmaker. Ashmusy dismissed these rumors, stating she had never engaged in any relationships for financial gain. Her career now includes acting roles, such as in the film The Alter Date (2019), and a massive Instagram following of over 1.9 million fans.
