Asue Ighodalo, PDP's candidate in the Edo governorship election, has vowed to challenge the election results in court, claiming his mandate was stolen. He accused APC and INEC of vote manipulation and collusion. Ighodalo remains confident in reclaiming his mandate through the tribunal, with evidence of BVAS irregularities.

Asue Ighodalo, the PDP candidate in the recent Edo governorship election, has vowed to reclaim his "stolen mandate" through the courts. Speaking on Channels Television, Ighodalo stated that over 160 polling units failed to use the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), compromising the election's integrity.

He accused the APC and INEC of colluding to manipulate the results after realizing that APC was losing. Ighodalo insisted his party did not engage in vote buying, contrasting their approach with APC agents who allegedly offered up to N50,000 per vote. He remains confident that the tribunal will uphold his case.
