Lagos State Police have dismantled a cybercrime training facility, known locally as a "Yahoo School," in the Iju area of Lagos. The operation, conducted by the state’s police command, led to the arrest of 10 suspects, including four cybercrime experts aged between 22 and 26, as well as six trainees aged 12 to 26.

According to the police spokesman, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects were found training in fraudulent internet activities, including internet fraud. Preliminary investigations revealed that the trainers had recruited their students from Anambra State, engaging them in illegal activities involving cybercrime. These trainees were reportedly being trained to carry out internet fraud and related criminal activities.

Following the arrests, all 10 suspects were transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba for further investigation and legal action. Authorities are currently working to apprehend additional individuals involved in the operation.
